Galyna Zagorodniuk

Galyna is a partner in Corporate and M&A, as well as Competition & Antitrust practices. Galyna also coordinates firm pro bono and community investments activity.

Galyna Zagorodniuk has a career spanning over 25 years, which varied from working in the state authorities, managing back-office of investment banking firm, working in the big-4 firm, to being partner and board member of the international law firms and NGOs.

Galyna started her carrier working in the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, subsequently contributing to its activity as a member of its Public Council in 2008-2010 and 2015-2019.

Galyna dedicated herself to corporate, cross-border M&A, competition law and well as government relations. Throughout this journey, she had the privilege of holding partner positions within international law firms, chairing corporate, competition, and life science practices, along with coordinating pro-bono and community investment initiatives. Besides, she served as a board member dealing with management of the law firm’s offices in CEE and Central Asia.

Beyond legal practice, Galyna is an accomplished author of articles on corporate and competition law, investments. Galyna was an expert of the World Bank Doing Business in Ukraine Project and a sought-after guest speaker at the leading Ukrainian universities, imparting insights on corporate law, competition law, and legal ethics.

Presently, she contributes her expertise as an Advisory Board member at the Aspen Institute Kyiv. Besides, she is a Guest Lecturer at the School of Law of the Ukrainian Catholic University and at the Kyiv School of Economics.
