Imagine Lawyers Participated in the Annual Kyiv School of Economics Career Day
On 7 June 2026, the Imagine Lawyers team took part in the annual Career Day organised by the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE).
Career Day is an annual event that brings together students, alumni and employers, creating a platform for open conversations about career opportunities, professional development and the first steps in building a successful career. This year, the event also welcomed students from several other leading Ukrainian universities.
For Imagine Lawyers, participation in initiatives like this is a natural extension of our long-standing cooperation with the academic community and our commitment to investing in the future of the legal profession.
Our lawyers have been teaching at KSE for several years. Olga Romanenko, Counsel at the firm, has taught a course on the legal aspects of digital transformation and business analytics. Galyna Zagorodniuk, Partner at Imagine Lawyers, teaches Corporate Law and M&A, as well as Legal Ethics for students of the Public Administration programme. We are particularly proud of the international dimension of the Corporate Law and M&A course, which Galyna co-teaches with Delphine Nougayrède, a lecturer at Columbia University and former DLA Piper partner.
Our relationship with KSE goes beyond teaching. Margarita Karpenko and other partners of the firm actively support the university and its educational initiatives, contributing to the development of the next generation of Ukrainian professionals.
It is especially rewarding to see this cooperation extend beyond the classroom. Mariia Poptanych, one of KSE’s students, has already joined Imagine Lawyers as a Junior Associate. We strongly believe that stories like this best demonstrate the value of close collaboration between universities and the professional community.
Throughout Career Day, the Imagine Lawyers team spoke with students and young professionals about life in a modern law firm, career paths in employment, corporate, tax and M&A practices, as well as the skills that are increasingly important for success in today’s legal market.
We are grateful to the Kyiv School of Economics for our long-standing partnership and for the opportunity to participate in Career Day 2026. For us, it was another valuable occasion to support young professionals, share practical experience and help the next generation of lawyers take their first steps in the profession.
