Imagine Lawyers Partners Participate in Women in Power: Ukraine Event with European Commissioner Marta Kos
On 8 June 2026, Imagine Lawyers partners Margarita Karpenko and Galyna Zagorodniuk, as members of Women on Boards Ukraine, took part in Women in Power: Ukraine, a high-level event held in Kyiv with the participation of European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.
The event brought together women leaders from across politics, diplomacy, business, civil society, education, culture and media to discuss leadership, responsibility, public trust and the role women play in shaping democratic institutions and society.
For Ukraine, Marta Kos is one of the most important members of the European Commission, as she is responsible for EU enlargement policy and plays a key role in supporting Ukraine’s path towards European Union membership.
During the discussion, Commissioner Kos shared her reflections on leadership and the unique challenges women often face in positions of responsibility. The event also featured the Ukrainian presentation of Confronting the 10 Traps of Power by Katrien Van den Broeck, a book exploring leadership and the challenges faced by women in positions of power.
