Joint Lecture on Corporate Governance at the Ukrainain Catholic University Law School

We are proud to announce that Galyna Zgorodniuk, partner at Imagine Lawyers, is a guest lecturer at one of Ukraine’s leading law schools, the Ukrainian Catholic University Law School. For several years, Galyna has been sharing her expertise in Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions with students.

On October 31, 2024, Galyna delivered a joint guest lecture with Andriy Kobolyev, former CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine and former Board member of Kyivstar. This engaging session focused on corporate governance, where Galyna offered theoretical insights and practical legal considerations, while Andriy shared his perspectives and experiences from his time as a CEO and Board member. The cases of Naftogaz, Gazprom, and Equinor were examined from a corporate governance standpoint.

Andriy remarked, “I was very impressed by two things:

1. The Ukrainian Catholic University seamlessly blends the historical heritage of the Greek Catholic Theological Academy with a progressive atmosphere, evident in everything from the new building to the state-of-the-art classroom equipment.

2. The generational difference. Today’s students are markedly different from our generation—at least, that’s my observation.”
